I need some help creating these details.

I am modelling a Thompson M1A1 for use in Unreal Engine.

I need some guidance on how to create these details.

The first thing I'm not sure how to create is the top portion of the magazine.

How would i create the curved edges that hold the rounds in place?

The second issue is creating the ejection port.

How would you approach these?

Help is greatly appreciated.
